EFIMKIN Vladimir 20

I wouldn't put Vladimir Efimkin. I think he put his career on hold for his wife is sick.

THanks for that. WHat a shame, i really liked Efimkin?

Can i change him for someone else then Hugh?

Maybe Hugo Koblet can make an exception for brothers if you change him with Alexander Efimkin :p You never know since his team TT1 is aiming for a Giro participation :D

Alexander is worth 136 which would put me overboard by about 100. Of course i dont mind;) but i doubt ill be able to get away with it.:(

lol, forgot about the points or maybe i unconsciously assumed that Alexander should have less points than his brother.

Sorry but due to the circumstances I won't let anyone substitute riders except in cases like Pegasus and the likes where you have already substituted :)

To everyone:

Here's the updated list of teams participating - 80 exactly. If you aren't on the list but have submitted a team, please contact me again.

Some readers may have been so inspired by Hugo's CQ rankings (I've just sent my squad in) that I thought it might be worth re-opening this.

There only 12 entrants so far: maybe an admin will rename this thread and stickify it.

A quick recap: pick a team of up to 15 riders. The price of a rider is their 2010 World Ranking points (which can be found here), and you have 1200 points to spend. Riders who scored nothing in 2010, whether because of a ban or simply failure to get high enough finishes, are free. The points your riders will gain are their 2011 World rankings points but, as with the team and national elements of the world rankings, only your top 5 riders will count.

If a rider is sanctioned by UCI with loss of points, you will score nothing for them: no additional penalty to the team. In practice that probably means that only penalties announced prior to the last race (Giro di Lombardia) will have any effect, as I've never noticed the UCI to change the scores after the last event has been added in.

Originally I ran it for just over a week, starting a few days after the Rankings series finished with the Giro di Lombardia, with a deadline of the end of October, as that was when teams had to submit their team lists for the UCI to calculate their "sporting criterion", and I thought we would stick to that transfer season.

But, with apologies to those who have already entered and whose squad is in the public domain (I guess I have to allow them a right of adjustment), there is no real reason not to allow it to continue up to the eve of the first ranking event: closing date now 15th January. Post here if you don't mind the world seeing your wisdom: PM me if you'd rather they don't.

You might find it easier to keep track of your spend if you use this Google spreadsheet

I requested a change for a Pegasus rider and since the change has not been made yet I would like to request the change again with a different rider.

Remove: DAY Ben (Pegasus, 48 points)
Add: BARTA Jan (NetApp, 63 points)

Even though the replacing rider has more points, I should still meet the 7500 limit.

Thanks!

Hugo, i know you said you wouldnt change it.

But on the other hand its Christmas, and i would argue that Efimkin retiring - not racing next season, is no different to Pegasus riders being told they cant race next season. So if you do reconsider I would like to swap him for a random rider no one else chose ;)

VAN WINDEN Dennis 35

Otherwise, just ignore this post ;)
