He wasn't in the long attack, he jumped away from the peloton.

Still, he jumped away from 50 men peloton. My point stands. He gives no indication of being near his 2011 level.

??? Because he is in a long attack? So far he has been dropped on a tiny hill and had a very bad ITT (note he is french ITT champion crushing chavanel and co last year....)

He is nowhere near his 2011 level

he might improve though until le tour.
we'll see.

sky will catch them all if the want to anyway

It's EBH doing the pacemaking in the peloton. Apparently he's been working on the front for the entire climb

With Feillu as well alongside him they are 4:20 ahead of the peloton

A definite stage win for Christophe :D.... unless Sky really put the hammer down on the descent.

Errr no - they're 45 seconds in front of the peloton, 3:40 behind the breakaway.

I would be impressed if they could combine that with winning flat bunch sprints!

ps: I actually complemented Agnoli and Capecchi several times during the Giro.

Depressed again is he...

Watching on RAI right now, wow these are small roads, dont see that often in Fraench races.

Not many guys dropped judging by the size of the peloton.

As predicted, half the peloton and most of Sky tootle over the top. Very steady pace.
Kern reeled in on the descent.

Kinda suprising that Chavanel dropped than, with such a big peloton. But he will probably comeback in the descend
