I think teams such as Astana has the possibility to make this immensely interesting. All they need to do is have Fuglsang or Kangert attack early to test Froome and his team. It will probably not happen because Nibali is not feeling too strong, but we need some GC-focused team to really give it a go - otherwise it will be another breakaway-stage with no GC-action.

Is has been said Nibbs appears to be just training -However- The team should be working on strategies & trying to step their riders up to the level they'll confront in Le Tour- I do agree that Fuglsang should be sent to explore his form & challenge himself a bit more-this is the right time -not at Le Tour when is all About Vincenzo...

I actually think that Nibali & kangert will attack, so that Fugslang can ride for GC.
if Nibali attacks, then sky will be forced to expend some energy.

Sky without train is still a very vulnerable team.

Contador will place some peons up the road and attack on the Col de la Morte. Froome to go into full panic spin-out seated washing machine crab mode. :D

Won't happen, but I love your word picture of Froome's riding style!

Aye, stages like this definitely need TV coverage at the start. Possibly the most interest bit of the day we are missing :(

I always love how in the Tour exciting stages (as in, anything could happen from breakaways to GC action to specialists) get the same amount of coverage as a sprint stage and some utterly boring mountain stage (apart from last 3k maybe) gets broadcasted for like 6 hours straight.

On the live ticker it gives the distance remaining to the metre!!

Are you watching, Vegni, you clown! This is how it should be done!! Stop playing with the bright colours and flashing pictures and get the job done.
