A large break got away before the base of Col des Saises which includes Talansky, Van den Broeck and Bardet. Also a couple of Sky and Astana riders, Hesjedal and other mostly very strong riders. Contador was forced to burn off his team before Froome attacked with 86kms to go. Contador went with and now Kelderman, Contador, Nibali and Froome are chasing the much larger lead group @1:45 and closing with 50k to go.

How embarrassing for the rest of the Tinkoff-Saxo "helpers." They have had zero responsibility for work the whole week, have been completely absent during crunch time during each stage, and the one time they need to at least show *some* support for Contador, they fall apart less than half way through the stage.

They should be reasonably rested compared to Sky, for instance, and I realize it is not the 'A' team, but presumably these are still professional riders.
