Break of eight riders have 2.20 over the peloton: 42 ARMIRAIL Bruno, 52 ASGREEN Kasper, 127 SÜTTERLIN Jasha, 146 O'CONNOR Ben, 194 COUSIN Jérôme, 197 SOUPE Geoffrey, 206 SCHÄR Michael, 214 DOUBEY Fabien

Is Schär looking for a new contract?

Hopefully the others in the break will fare a bit better than Schär's breakaway companions yesterday did...

First one who will lead the peleton will be Martin. No.2 will be van Aert.
It will depend on multiple factors. I actually think it will not happen very often.

I imagine on stages without very big mountains but sophisticated finishes they'll try to keep Van Aert fresh for the final and use some of their weaker climbers earlier instead. Hell, even on pancake flat stages it makes sense to keep Van Aert fresh because his work will be more valuable when the pace rises in the final kilometers.

I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be climbing better than Kuss or Gesink early in the race and then he will not even be no.2 to lead the peloton on the hardest stages.

Interesting discussion about Jumbo's kit and how it might clash with the yellow in the Tour. A few years ago they did change their kit a bit, but honestly Roglic's kit looks way too much like the yellow jersey. Higuita too, to a lesser extent.

It will be quite bizarre if Bernal and Roglic are going at it both wearing yellow.
