Right now Jumbo clearly best, but too hot too soon? Although Roglic did not look particularly tired...Tibopino, Buchmann, Porte and Quintana looked good too. But if they don't have support we'll probably see this in the Tour -- losing 10-20 seconds at the end after Roglic is slingshot off the front in the last kms...I'm guessing Alaf is a bit cooked after MSR?

Bernal was struggling there. The comparisons of Kuss to Hampsten look to be actually true. What a climber.
The guy has the weirdest pro legs that I've ever seen in person, they look soft.
Roglic is pulling a Romandie again and I'm willing to bet that he'll pay for it durning the final week of the Tour.

None of the Spanish riders seem to be responding well coming out of the quarantine.

And that of course brings us back to the question; do the riders who could train outdoors during the "lockdown" (which was more locked in some countries than others) have an advantage?

Is Roglic peaking too early, as he did for the Giro last year?

possible. however, i think less likely.

last year he won a bunch of stuff for several weeks (months?) before the Giro.

This time he starting 3 weeks out -- not too long to hold form i imagine, and will have done many fewer race days before the TDF than he had done for the Giro.

I think there is no question about that, judging by performances. Mas and Valverde aren’t riders expected to drop so early, and Landa while looking stronger than the other two at the moment, seems to be hanging on and doesn’t have his punch.

Kruijswijk and Bernal should be slightly better for the Tour. their game is more resistance and recuperation. They ride like diesel engines.

I am surprised at Martinez. He was dropping at the bottom of the mountain. Lol. He is learning from the Lopez School.

Cannot be surprisrd at Guillaume Martin anymore. He is very good.

Pitty could not see what Higuita could do here.

Roglic is very powerful. He might get enough time in the first 2 weeks of the Tour before anyone has any chance on the third week. But I would be cautious of his form now.

Don't start getting over excited over Pinot yet. Please. We know what his problem is.

Surprised at Pogachar. I assume he will get better with time.

Dumo looking best for the Tour GC at the moment from JV shall we say? :D

Tom had a mechanical and had to work his way back up on top of being caught behind the crash. Roglic is definitely strongest at the moment, but I was impressed with Tom today. He looks a lot stronger than G and Froome at the moment.

I do think he is ascending however. he also had to make an effort to come back after being held up by the crash. and as he does he steadily moved up. he only dropped when the very last festivities began and I wonder if he wouldn't have clung on a little longer had he not made the earlier effort...

rog is the man for now, but dumo could still be in play in the TDF...
