I agree, Demare is probably going to take it again, as he looks to be so much stronger than the other sprinters.
Coquard is also going to try something, he needs to show results.

I think that porte could make it. He is stronger than ever and the stage is very short so he will be fresh (of course 6.4 w/kg is almost alien)

If you believe the power and weight he claimed during training, it works out to considerably over 7w/kg and a VO2max over 100.....then again Porte's always been notoriously....how do I put this nicely....."unreliable" when he opens his mouth

so far, before the weekend mountains, i guess Froome will be working for Thomas, Bardet for Latour, Quintana and Valverde with reverse roles, Aru alive, Porte the man and Contador, who knows...

All good sprinters get beaten by lesser lights every once and a while, anyway Bauhaus is not a bad up and coming sprinter. Is it that you just don't like FDJ riders or is it French riders in general?

You seem to be spoiling for a fight over some kind of minor semantics. For me, if you win the race every time you finish it for four years running, then you're pretty much unbeatable on that form.

Anyway, the point is that Froome would be crazy to risk changing the preparation which has seen him dominate the Tour for the past five years, just for possibly having a marginally better shot at the Vuelta. No way he or Sky would do that, imo.

Not looking for a fight, I'm saying he looked vulnerable. Like he might lose if there was just one more mountain stage, or if Contador had been in any kind of decent form.

I don't like overrated riders. Demare is one of them, he won't win a stage in le tour

Kristoff doesn't like headwind.
Katusha attacked early and protected him as much as possible, but that headwind...

Big win for Bauhaus, I was actually expecting another Demare win.
