Sagan and Samu are better imo and I can't see anybody else being better than Nibali.

I think there are good reasons to rate Pantano and Jon Izagirre as better descenders as well - stage 20 last year's Tour de France.

Ilnur Zakarin could have beaten Nibali on that descend. He probably just didn't want to take any risks on a wet extremely technical and steep descent less than one month before his 2nd big goal for the season.

I didn't think it was that controversial to say Froome/Quintana are both above average descenders. I remember they had some good descents in the 2015 tour with Nibali. Not saying they're Sagan level but they can go downhill fast.

Porte had big problems during descending in Paris Nice 2015 when he felt two times on wet descent. But it was slippery.
And he crashed in Rio.

Who didn't crash in Rio ? It was a dangerous course. Anyone can crash on a wet descent. Menchov even crashed on a wet ascent ! Porte is a good descender. He isn't bad in the same way Zakarin or Andy was bad. Just not a Sagan or a Nibali.

Agian, dont confuse aggressiveness with skill. the course was fine, it wasnt wet and just as dangerous as any of narrow descent, with some "blind" turns anywhere in the world. Too much at stake with only 10km to glory...
