I only joined during the descent, who initiated the attack that dropped Valv and Ac?
I think Valverde initiated it, and then blew up.

Why did Fuglsang attack at the kite? Should have just waited for sprint.

He's pretty slow in a sprint and it was a good situation to attack.

He's slow in the sprint, but the best sprinter of the four and he had a teammate to chase any attacks. Sitting on looked like best option. But he won it anyway.

That played out how I thought it would. (And I did say that Bardet wouldn't win) Froome looked in fine shape as did Aru, Porte.

Very unlike Valverde, what a rookie mistake..

Very happy for Jakob and Astana. Great stuff for Birdie, he is everything but a winner, but today it came all together!

Fair play to froome, when he realised he'd boxed in porte he lifted and gave space to keep everything safe. Don't think that would occur during the tour

Porte might've won this without Froome boxing him in. Truly the patron of the peloton now

For sure he'd have won that sprint. But then again Froome closed down Aru to make the stage win available. Not sure Porte's descending lines if he had to make them himself would've done that.

Porte could have taken an alternative route though. Froome didn't change his line, so he was actually in the right to stay where he was.

After his injury I think Aru don't wanted to take too much risks on the descent...

Great stage, nice to see Aru back after his injury.
Froome with a piece of great descending, I guess Bala was even better.

Very happy to see Fuglsang take a win at last :)

I agree, just saying although this is a race,it's not the race, so didn't want to run his mate into the barriers.

Froome screwed Richie there. He would have won. What was Valverde doing going that early? He totally screwed himself.

He was either overconfident or he's testing himself. Should've wait and follow moves from Porte and Froome, then go hard near the top and on the descent and he would've probably won the stage. Bad tactics, really.

I agree, it was a nice thing to do by Froome. But he didn't have to
