A proper GT race is mostly a boring race. As a true cycling fan you tend to appreciate the boredom. And in all this boredom sometimes you do get a special moment. Hard to ask for more and you should appreciate it.

I've Heard of one, i.e. whilst not a cyclist per se, she crashed pretty hard. Unlucky initial etc. in any case I've veered a bit off-topic.

I mean, if we weer outside of cycling, there's probably whole pile of people with the initials JA - or FM, for that matter - who has had bad year.

Interesting point. I think Grand Tours are a bit like test match cricket. Except test matches only last 5 days :D. But I find neither cricket nor grand tours boring. Mostly boring for non fans of these sports.
