It is sometimes just an outlier but silly odds like Onley's today can suggest insider knowledge, you'll get more of the nationalistic stuff in bigger races as not many casual betters paying much attention to the Dauphine on a working day.
I really don't think so. It was supposed to be a breakaway stage, and as a punchy guy who had lost time yesterday, he looked like a likely contender. Both to the oddsmaker, as well as to some punters.

I doubt anyone betted on him because he thought DSM would work for him all day to then beat Alaphililippe in a sprint.

Carlton is going to lose his s**t if his favourite rider wins here

He must've mentioned Fraile being in the peloton about 10 times

Vingegaard needs to go crazy, just to show these lesser riders who the real Dane is.

Vingegaard has to hope Kelderman has some form, and Kuss of course, because the climbing support here at Dauphiné is quite poor. Benoot as the best mountain domestique.

So will this be the first race where both Alaphilippe and Fake Alaphilippe win a stage? He should be faster than Zimmermann and Castroviejo.

Think Vingegaard could end up even stronger than last year but looking likely that his team won't be, Kuss having ridden the Giro also may not be as strong, will be interesting to see what Wilco has in the locker after his injuries.

Still got WVA too to come in and dominate some mountains.

Benoot should also be his best mountain dom here, but he could have hoped Valter was slightly better than he seems to be. The same goes for Van Baarle.
