Well, Froome has been bad. I am not very surprising after lot of time of compiting and the level que showed at Mercan Tour. The weather want hot this time...stronh ridders on the tema to work for....

Positivaly I said he finished the race, becouse lot of people didnt. But of I said Froome was bad,,, Gorka Izaguirre was worse...I dont know his circusntaces, but he finished worse at GC and I dint see him trying anything or working. Maybe he did..Froome was some times positioning his team mates before the decissive climb.

FYI the fact the entire Bora team exploded at the end suggests to me it's a combination of factors which caused the crack, i.e. including the preparation so far. The team isn't at their optimal level yet & I hope they get there by July.

The French are going to have to wait longer for another grand tour contender. Gaudu isn't it. He's not as good as Pinot or Bardet, maybe not even as good as Rolland or Voeckler in grand tours .

Gaudu is at a turning point in his career. He can either persist with lower top 10 finishes every year in the Tour (over 20 minutes down on the winner), or attempt a reconversion into stage hunter.

But ironically considering he has decent punch (& he's won WT stage races before), he also now seems to lack incisiveness & race craft.

Roglic hung on for the GC - Chapeau! Bora & Ineos should be glad for the weeks work as should be Gee & jorgenson. Lidl must be disappointed Hart could not compete. The rest, a lot of questions if they're hoping for big things at the Tour.

Look if Rogla dropped Angrilu performances 4-5 times in the TDF, Teddy would have a race. Won’t happen Ofcourse
My point was that this alone is not enough to declare Pogs Tour win a foregone conclusion. How well he handles back-to-back GTs is the main unknown factor about his Giro-Tour double, and barring Vingegaard reaching peak form for the Tour against all odds, it is the most likely determinant whether he wins or loses the Tour.

So finally we got a good race. Nice tension at the end. After today Tadej Pogacar is feeling really good about the double. Some good surprises in the GC towards the end.

I'm not going to pretend I know what any of these guys are thinking but I assume this is exactly not what Pog is thinking right now. If I was to guess I'd say Pog will be thinking about his own form, how the team will work together & also studying potential traps on the road.

There's no way these riders sit back with their feet up watching their rivals racing whilst thinking "Yup... these dudes are suckage incarnate I'll torch them!"

Yes, it is hard work and consistency that pays off in the end.
