They're riding for their leader. What did you think? Rog went to Bora to share leadership with these guys? Nope.

Whatever else happened he got six seconds bonus, so that's already something.

It was only the second stage, only bonus seconds were in play, no GC danger in front. I doubt that the race will be decided on these bonus seconds when the longish ITT and high mountains are still to come.

Vlasov and Hindley could easily be top 10 in the Tour de France, using them to do donkey work on cat3 climb for bonus seconds is not only weird, it's disrespectful on stage 2. After this, I'd be surprised if these two were dying for Roglic when the serious mountains come or GC is in danger. You don't see Pog or Vingegaard racing with an all-star team in stage races. For good reason...

I think the bad thing was letting the break get such a big gap in the first place.

They kind of had to use those two when there was still such a big gap.

I suppose they managed to not lose time, but yeah, probably not exactly what they had hoped for (using those two).

BORA had no reason to chase with Vlasov and Hindley. UNO-X, Israel, FDJ also had several people in the group, they should have left the chase of Armirail to them. But I guess the team management wanted to boost Roglic's ego.

Two words: Training & data.

Bora have seen what these riders were doing in Sierra Nevada & they know their numbers. I think the 'all in with Roglič' we saw today has absolutely nothing to do with 'ego' but everything to do with a dress rehearsal for the TdF.

Tomorrow's finale:

It screams Magnus Cort to me.
Pretty awesome prediction, considering Cort was nowhere to be seen so far this year.

Tomorrow should suit riders like Roglic better, but the question is who's gonna control it. Maybe UNO-X and try for Cort again? Well, they have nothing to lose, so thats what I suspect along with Bora, but could really see a break steal this.

The kitchen and dining room look very modern (and pricey) and I like the open space idea, but the colors are so dark and gloomy. At least Bora's team jerseys have some color to it.
The Bora kitchen makes me think of the first time I had people at my house and they said with a certain voice" oh you keep the bicycles inside the house " ..the kitchen gives me that feeling of needing to remove all your dirty bike stuff outside and definitely no dogs in the house.
I am sort of bummed, made side bets that EF Education will win GC and it's a chance, but not great!!

Brian Holm called it after the stage yesterday, something along the lines of "now Magnus will win tomorrow. When Mads takes a win he wants a win too, that's how it works"

Also a fun fact about Cort:

Out his 27 pro wins, 26 have been in stage races.
To me that's a crazy stat, for a guy who seems tailormade for 1 day races.

Not surprising at all. One day races are ridden at a higher tempo than stage races which obviously does not suit Cort's characteristics.
