Marvelous. The Pinnacle of this sport in front of our eyes!

Yesterday's stage had nothing to do with a classic. The Monuments are races of 250 km or more, and they're races where the action lasts throughout the entire race.

Things are being greatly exaggerated due to something that happened 8km to the fin his after a quiet stage, but extrapolating it to De Ronde it's nosense. LOL

Buitrago for De Ronde and Roubaix podium.

ASO has been doing this a lot lately, also in the TDF. Shorter mountain stages, for more explosiveness and interesting racing. Look at Stage 4, 14, 19 and 20 of the TDF last year.

Yeah, as if the stage length is what makes the race exciting and not the profile..

They've made Hautacam and Ventoux the longest mountain stages and the arguement would probably be "see the long stages are not explosive enough and not exciting", when in fact even if those stages were 90 kilometres, we'd see the same amount of action.

The 2 shortest mountain stages in the Giro - 17th and 19th were the least memorable, but you know "explosive".
