Critérium du Dauphiné 2025, June 8 - 15

Some people haven't seen their favourite rider race since Liège-Bastogne-Liège, and are very eager to discuss Critérium du Dauphiné. They are completely right of course, because this year is going to be a banger. Every leader for TDF will be here, from Pogacar to Vingegaard to Evenepoel, the only one missing is Roglic. On top of that we get the best punchers, rising stars, and forum favourites riding it too. So without further ado, let's start with the route.

It would take a brave person to bet against Pogacar here. Stage 7 is a monster packed into just 132km.

But very interested to see Vingegaard's level - he should be on song. Remco should also be a force and a likely leader after the TT.

The other point is Pogacar absolutely cannot be complacent - either at this race or at the Tour. A fresh, uninjured and motivated Vingegaard will be a force.

A more or less *** route.

I understand them wanting to make it not too difficult not scare away some of the riders preparing for the Tour, but they could have done something better than this. Stage 6 and 8 is awful.

yes, i was shocked when i saw the route. Stage 7 is good but usually the route of the dauphine is much better than this.

It depends on what Vingegaard's role is. If he's the chosen leader for the Tour, he can sandbag, but if it's actually Jorgenson, he'll have to do well here so UAE won't smell the trap before it's too late.
If Vingegaard isn't even the leader of his own team Visma is cooked anyway. If Jorgenson has an 8 minute lead on Pogacar going into the third week I would still pick Pogacar to win.
