Pretty crucial difference in this ITT was that unlike many of these TTs with a hill in it, the downhill section was only a slight drag on very wide roads which is unlike usual when it's a bit of a recovery section. Obviously it favored the purest CdA merchant in the bunch.

Pogacar already looked really bad to me on the hill, I wouldn't be surprised if he started at a certain power and blew up there already.

But anyone overly eager to draw really big conclusions from this isn't serious. Pogacar is peaking for the Tour, not the Dauphine, and only certain fans would use not winning the Dauphine as evidence of not being in the best shape in the Tour.
Belgium will finally have a TDF winner again!

Yup his stroke looked pretty bad. Neither fast or powerful

Nice race between top three but doesn't open that much big picture. Where they are in form and fitness now and in July? And how Remco can handle explosive stuff on climbs, that Pogi and Jonas handle very well..and top high mountains? But probably next days clears this already, because Pogi now has to attack. I'm sure he will. Isn't it just quality training for the Tour?

But Jonas hasn't raced since March and he is already this good. Bad sign for Tadej at the Tour.

So congrats to Remco, great performance today. Also very good ride by Vingegaard, who convincingly beat the rest. The ridiculous helmet isn't that bad, is it? Jorgenson also really good today. And now the biggest surprise: poor ride by Teddy! He already lost a lot in the first half (including the climb), he really didn't have the legs today. He lost almost half a minute to his nemezis, it was a prestigious loss. Uphill battle for him in the Dauphine now but obviously what matters the most is his form in 5-6 weeks.
