Paul Seixas in pro stage race stages, excluding stages that went to the break or ended with at least 20 riders in the same time: 31-10-3-2-6-15-2-10
For comparison, Pogacar (who was obviously 2 years older) in his first season up to and including June:

15-1-5-6-18-9-2-5-5-4-1-9-5-3-8

And Evenepoel:
3-24-15-17-4-57-67-70-15-1-4-3

Vingegaard just said the big time is made in the mountains, which is true, but this is why you need to balance it out with 50 km TTs at the Tour. Why wasn't at least 30 km here? And then have some proper mountain stages.

Never known a TT to be described as a strategic day. It is certainly a critical day.

Remco needs to deliver big. Pog and Vingegaard need to attack that 1.8km @8.7% lump in the middle.
Remco needed to deliver big, he did. Lots of good rides, from little of it I could watch, very, very little catches of minute men or even 2 minute men!! Showed Remco passing someone and he almost drafted!! But top guys were all flying.
Guess the new tattoo is a good thing.

I still see Pogacar as the clear favorite for TdF25 but its positive to see Jonas being at this level with the TdF in mind, and the hope for some competition for Pogacar and we will see some entertaining battle between them..
Remco is a beast for time trials
.
TdF2025 champ as I reckon atm. (x)
* Pogacar 1.7
* Vingegaard 3.5
* Remco 9.5

Evenepoel thinks tomorrow will be a sprint.
Then points out that we also all thought stage 1 would be a sprint.

(All the sprinters to deliver a letter to the big 3:
"Please No Attacky!")

Is the Slovenian washed? Losing to Big Jorge and almost losing to the Biathlete after the Biathlete‘s hard day yesterday.
You're kidding of course, but actually him finishing behind Jorgenson is more worrying than behind Evenepoel or Vingegaard. He just looks quite flat. Vingo on the other hand looks like he is in top shape already.

Let's wait for the mountains, but so far it looks like Pogi can definitely be beaten... in this Dauphiné, that is.

Half-way up the climb Pogacar was already 30 seconds behind Remco. Then he lost nothing the rest of the climb and the descent, and then lost tons more on the flat to the end.

I wonder if he was struggling to put out power in the new position he’s apparently been trying, because that would explain losing all that on the flat but nothing on the climb or descent.

Remco right now knowing he just smoked the two pre-Tour favorites...

But the first part of the climb was the steepest part, so he Pogacar did lose time there to Remco, who then dominated him on the flat.
