Congrats to Pogi for winning the queen stage.

Looks like Visma doesn't have it anymore, going head to head with Pogi, lets see if tomorrow they can at least keep up. Lipo rode rather perfectly today and it seems that Jonas is out of the reach, otherwise it could make sense to attack tomorrow, still, likely better to defend. Remco, hard to say as he did crash hard and we can't know of how much issues that left. likely at least some.

Evenepoel solid, but not good enough for 3rd place.
After him saying he was in TdF shape i was expecting a bit more.
At the same time his results are in line with last year. Only Lipo relegating him to 4th this time around in the dauphine.

I like evenepoel, but uphill he'll probably always be behind Pogacar and Vingegaard. He's gonna need to take time on mid-mountain stages. Find a way to raid those.
The problem at least in the current moment, is Pog and Ving's teams are so far superior to his own; he's not racing the two aliens in a vacuum.

I don't agree he wen't easy, until the last bit where he clearly dropped time on purpose.

For around 9K the gap howered between 18 and 22 seconds, while they both went hard.
If you want to see Pog going all out I suggest you rewatch the Pla d'Adet and Plateau de Beille climbs. His grinding and his expressions on the finish line and then compare with today.

I found this climb hillarious to watch, he literally had to hold himself back from pushing, while the others were completely spent and dead. He was smiling and looked like he had to actively slow down his speed even several times..It's a smart, don't get me wrong to not give away anything and ride conservatively at the same time, but at the same time, it's borderline hilarious to watch the difference.

His body language made it seem like he was just on a casual cafe ride oppose to them. Its night and day in reality to everyone else, it is what it is and lets be real who woulda thought, its not like he doesnt drop every powerhouse in the world on flat cobbles in Robauix now for fun(besides MvdP) and several more things..Its yeah own league nothing else in reality, abselutely no surprise.

MODERATOR MODE

Enough! Ridiculous level of conduct in this thread in the last half hour or so (and I haven't even looked at the other relevant threads yet.

If you want to have childish arguments with each other, do so in PMs, and leave the forum for those who wish to discuss cycling.

So far (with one exception) I have only deleted posts or part of them, but if you have had anything above deleted, do not be surprised if suspensions follow.

Civlity is compulsory

I understand it for Vingegaard. Remco should have gone and just won Suisse though. Avoid these guys and a favourable route for him
Agree. It's almost worse he won the TT here; briefly soar to great heights only to be swatted down like a fly; this is a pretty big psychological blow to absorb regardless of how much his crash might have affected him.

I'd rather see him stage hunt in the Tour than do this.

As pointed out Rodriguez showed up to a degree, same w Mas, both because of brutality of today went way up in GC.
Tulett has arrived. Kuss did some work, paid at the end w @6+ minutes.
French super model Bardet, not only showing he knows how to race his bike had open eyes and open ears, smiling, waving and saying thanks to well wishers as he passed, classy countryman and cyclist.
Big challenges ahead for Remco as he puts on a brave face for the media, repeating that nothing is wrong, when something is wrong. Don't know where Jorgenson will fit..he is going OK, not super anything especially threatening, so maybe a stage hunt, but not strong GC contender yet. Lipowitz holding steady. Pogacar just in sit and spin mode riding guys into oblivion. Jonas saying he couldn't respond to Pogacar 's attack, when in reality, he was up out of the saddle just trying to keep his wheel much of last @20k..
* and dietary note..if steak and or potatoes caused criminal behavior, I would have been in prison since early childhood.. I know for a fact that BMX bikes are known to promote delinquency and petty crime*

This is all painfully true. Pogacar had enough in the bank, summoned the car , brought provisions, maybe an ice bag to his teammate on the front going 100 meters effortlessly from front to back with half the guys he passed being on the limit. Combination between class and calculation to wait until @10 to go before rolling off, he obviously could have gone earlier, easily if he wanted to.. He did multiple demoralizing moves, guy is flying..
He had some Johnny Rotten, Christopher Walken hair thing going on post race which was just another surprise!!

Yup, the guy wasnt even pushing on the climb, his body langugage compared to yesterday when he was, he was having a coffe ride. I like the guy not to say I wouldn’t want things to be closer for the sake of entertainment. But that doesn’t change reality just because I wish it was. In reality, the difference is just completely over the top—it is what it is. and he is completely mocking them, he just is.

Visma doing their best UAE at the Giro impression with 3 in the top ten and 4 in the top 15 and none in the top one.
What you are saying is 100% true if podium or winning is the only criteria, but if lining up lieutenants for TDF is what this and TdSwiss is about they are doing ok..
Team Visma is coming off as cool, calm and calculating about what will happen, has to take place for successful July. Can't imagine what is being talked about in Bora bus or measured chaos in EF or Soudal circles..

Good climb by Pogacar. He seemed very in control and holding back.
Good effort for Vingegaard, but still not at his TDF level. His TDF 24's numbers were on par with today's Pogacar numbers, which means Vingegaard will probably improve... but so will Pogacar.

Remco is still very far from his peak. Yes, this is only the Dauphiné, but still, something is not right with Remco's form. I hope he improves massively for the Tour.

Lipowitz looking great. He must compete in the Tour at the very least as a co-leader. He should not be just a domestique to Roglic.
Paul Seixas amazing. It'll be a shame if he doesn't ride the Tour. There's a potential top10 for him there.
Enric Mas, C. Rodriguez, Jorgenson, Kuss, Buitrago, Lenny Martinez are not looking good. The'll have to improve massively to have any hope of a top5-10 finish at the Tour.
