Milram, Sky and Saxo chasing hard.

The gap is 3:30 with 30km to go, so outside of Sherwin's Rule, but I think they will still be brought back.

Nah, they won't be brought back. Gap is going out and hovering around 3.35 in the last 5km.

The fact Liquigas aint on the front means Bennati doesn't have it. He'll pull out tomorrow.

The gap doesn't seem to be coming down hardly at all.

Magnus alleges that Isasi is a sprinter, so he should be in with a good chance at the stage win. There is a little rise not long before the finish that might be an opportunity for someone to make a move.

Liquigas has sent someone to the front. But if the gap is still over 3 minutes with 18km to go, they won't be caught.

I'm a little surprised HTC didn't commit anyone to try and protect Tejay's second place overall.

Sky are also big losers today.

Hope and think Isasi for the win.

He's probably the fastest of the bunch, could be a double treat for him: stage win and yellow for a day.

It would be funny seeing him go last in the TT tomorrow.

Wow, those guys are chasing like madmen. This is fun to watch. Don't think they will catch, but it sure is fun to watch them try.

suddenly not looking impossible for the peloton..1.20 with 10 km to go, will be close. I'm really hoping for a win for Euskaltel! yellow probably not, if he needs to be at least 34 seconds ahead of contador?

If the break start messing around or skipping turns they will be in trouble quickly.

Even Footon are contributing to the chase! They are such an anonymous team I forget they exist whenever they are not on screen.

Are there no time bonuses for the stage winner?

Yellow does seem distant for Isasi now, you can hope though!

Its the kit. they blend in with the road and the dirt. Pack filler in camo.

We might have a similar situation today as we had in one of the Giro stages where all the teams burn themselves out chasing early and have no-one left fresh enough to form a train in the last 3km so the break actually ends up making it.

No bonuses, unfortunately. The peloton really moving now..edit: and then suddenly there seems to be confusion in front of the peloton. Everybody worn out?

If it stays twisty, they will make it. Looks like they might do it.

This little climb will hurt the break much more than the peloton.

[edit]The big teams have fallen away from the chase, though. I'm not sure that Footon and Milram have the horsepower to bring this back. The break has started messing around a bit.

The peloton has them within arm's reach, but they are sitting up.

Sky train hits the front, too early as per usual.
