I like that the race is opened up a bit, but I hope it won't mean that Yates gets a free pass to win the race. I'd rather see Thomas take the overall. He's been riding with big authority all week, unlike Yates.

Adam Yates has shown much more initiative than I actually thought he would, but I agree that it would be a bit weird for him to win. I dislike the transformation brit gang at Sky, but I actually hope Thomas will win this race - he has been so incredibly unlucky.

YES WE GOT A RACE NOW
Yeah, attacking after a puncture. That's the racing we want.

Oh cry more

If you also wanna talk about a level playing field, as I saw you mentioned, every team should have the same budget and salary cap too

The game is the game tho, Thomas unlucky and the race is on and they already back soon anyway...

I don’t criticise AG2R (too much) for that but pleased Geraint Thomas is back on. That would’ve been a crappy way for Yates or Bardet to win.

Pace probably comes out of it a little now. I still like the break’s chances.

I'm not saying it's unfair. I'm just saying it's not the kind of racing I'd prefer to watch. And yeah, I think a salary cap would be a very good idea.

Sky won their first two tours with a smaller budget than BMC and Tinkoff. Sky's strength is Brailsford, Peters, Kerrison and Ellingworth. Capping riders salary doesn't stop them, simply makes it harder for others to catch up.

I guess we'll never know how Sky does it.
