I like it, though the TT could've been longer. In my opinion, a long TT like we've had in last Dauphine's would balance out the difficulty quite well. Now the balance is very much tilted towards the climbers. Some promising stages though. Stage 7 looks pretty awesome though. :)

Really good route, very balanced. ITT could have been a tiny bit longer, 15 to 20 kms would have done it too. For the reste I am very happy :
- 1 ITT
- 3 mountain stages with 3 different type of MTFs : one longish but not too hard, a stage with 2 tough climbs in the last 30 kms and the last one "highway style" to Courchevel.
- 2 flat stages for the sprinters
- 2 medium/tricky stages, the traditional to Gap via le Col de Manse and its tricky descent, and the stage to La Mure with a very treacherous and hard 50kms from km 120 to 170, and then 15 kms flat to the final. The type of stage where you don't know what will happen, could lead to Porrentruy (TDF 2012) type race, which would be entertaining.

Really balanced route. I like it a lot.

Those ASO routes since Pescheux left are very promising (Paris Nice, Dauphiné, TDF).

You mean the same ones that win the ITT?

Froome has never won a flat TT as a pro (or maybe even ever)

Forclaz+the climb to Lac d'Emosson is easily the toughest stage and may block the race so a bit more TT would not be so bad

Pretty good route. Just read that Peschaux has left !

Agree with most that the ITT could be a tad longer but no complaints.

Hopefully all of AC,Nibbles and Froome will arrive in good form.

Has the Climb to Finhaut Emosson being used before?

Col de la Gueulaz <3!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yours is the opinion I've been waiting for. This looks much more like a race in it's own right again, a step in the right direction for sure?

Stage 5 looks a bit "Prudhomme" but other than that I really like this route, looking forward to it

IMO stage 2 looks much more "Prudhomme". I like stage 5 on the other hand, that is the kind of stage I would expect from PN focusing on classic-like stages.

15km flat after a perfectly designed hilly stage will likely to kill all hope for action, but maybe somebody is crazy enough to attack with teammates from breakaway.

The worst thing is that it would be quite good if only they did the loop in the other direction...
