Very enjoyable day. Great scenery, great finale. I loved the steep gravel finish. Vingo goes, Chapeau! Milan amazing and kept the jersey Chapeau!

First first time TdF winner to win race that same season since Wiggins?
That final was great fun. Amazing performance from Onley.

More like 300w fwiw. Milan's around 50% heavier than Vingegaard and I'd reckon they were probably not far off the 10 w/kg region for the final steep section.Milan wow what a performance. He was probably doing 150 Watts more than Vingegaard at least.
He's signed up to continue with the DSM development team for 2023. 19 year oId kid who was inches away from beating the TdF winner on a tough finish - think they might be wise to offer him a decent multi year contract with their WT squad, right now.Wish I'd remembered to watch this now, and really pleased for Onley. Saw him pre-race before a ToB stage and he didn't seem perhaps, as naturally confident as many young riders appear to be these days. This should help in that respect, and maybe not too late to follow Poole up to the WT next season.

Froome won the Vuelta in 2017 (also a stage in 2016).
Wasn't he part of Italy's team pursuit Olympic gold winning team?Milan riding like a proper freak. Always love seeing guys that size almost defy gravity. He should in theory be one hell of a tt’er (at least on shorter courses) with that kind of sustained power but perhaps he hasnt worked too much on his position yet
Vingegaard got pinched like 10 times on that final climb lol
I'm assuming you mean in a... "positional way". My mind went in completely different direction.
Anyway... remember that deal I made? About the Norwegians getting the ITTs, and the Danes getting the stage races?
It still stands.
Yes. I guess preparing for road race itt’s are not quite the same thoughWasn't he part of Italy's team pursuit Olympic gold winning team?
Denmark haven't won all stage races this year.
Nor have Norwegians won all the ITTs.
Yes he was.Wasn't he part of Italy's team pursuit Olympic gold winning team?
