My suspicion is NBC doesn't even come close to covering their costs for the TDF. Instead, there is a VP somewhere in the organization that loves spending the month of July in France drinking wine, eating gourmet food, and watching cycling and no one dares tell him "no."

its the comcast legacy. They owned versus. When they bought NBC, they moved the TDF over

It's the product that made their network. They likely will never get rid of it for legacy reasons
