Flanders was stunning on EuroSport high definition today, particularly the head-on shots from what appeared to be a vehicle equipped with something like a SteadyCam. No camera shake and you could see every detail, just like pictures from the traditional static cameras at key locations. Last year's Tour was similarly very, very impressive in HD that I saw on the Spanish RTVE terrestrial. I've often wondered why the motorbike cameramen aren't equipped with mini SteadyCams, but maybe they would be just too cumbersome. TV coverage of the classics and majors has come a long, long way since the late 60s/early 70s...
