Not much. Sounds like he needs to get his ass down to the nearest McDonald's and scarf down a few McDoubles along with a Big Mac. You would not catch Eddy eating rabbit food.

More correctly you wouldnt catch Mrs Eddy serving that up.

Three stacks of bacon, sausage, elk meat, onions and cheese between tortillas all topped with sour cream, two fried eggs and scallions.

As tasty as that might be and it does look, that's just pure gluttony right there. No one needs to eat anything like that in a single sitting.

no you stunnade. Its a joke. Zabriskie can never podium a real grand tour. Hes not that kind of rider. I meant the TOC this year, which some on here joke is a GT because thats what the organisers treat it like.

Well, they don't NEED it, but they think they do. I lived in the US and Canada for two years, and my goodness the portion sizes are out of control. Watching the show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives shows just how ridiculous it's getting.

well i remember seeing him doing well on the giro shleck finished second. but didn't followed the whole race and assumed he fell behind in the rest of montain stages. since i was just doing some fast reading the forum before going back to my studies i missed the hidden joke and actually was surprised but since you are a quality poster i just trusted you with no further analysis. shame on me i guess xD

Tjallingi is also a vegetarian. He is actually a vegatarian since birth as his parents were also vegetarians.

Also there is absolutely no need to eat meat to be a good rider. There are plenty of alternatives.

Before new pics of hamburgers are posted because of my post I'd like to say that I'm no vegetarian and love meat :)

Nothing can beat the "Double Coronary Bypass Burger" from the Vortex in Atlanta. Topped with two fried eggs, four slices of American cheese, and 5 slices of bacon, with two grilled cheese sandwiches replacing the buns. Anything else is for sissys!

Its funny, this dude guzzling down cheeseburgers and nobody says 'where do you get your nutrition from?or 'isnt that too much cholesterol? my mate ate meat and had a heart attack..'

Then you have professional athletes like UFC champion Mac Danzig and he is a longtime vegan and people still ask him 'Mac, where do you get your protein from?' Its a bit like someone riding a steel roadie asking Lance 'is carbon good enough to race on?'

I'm a vegetarian myself, but I think all this loudmouthing about the meat free lifestyle is pathetic. Are you trying to convince yourself? Because you're not going to convince anyone else.

70% of the western world is overweight/obese and is it from eating ,bananas, corn flakes and soy milk or meat n dairy?

I used to be super ripped on big macs and donuts and 1000km week and am as ripped and WAY fitter on around 300km a week as a vegan.

Not to mention other performance enhancning benefits I have experienced off the bike..and I aint talk'n bout my running improvments..;)

Right on DR. As athletes age, their diet becomes more important to their performance. They can get away with eating crap when younger, but if they want maintain that high level, diet has to change. Example, Dave Scott, Carl Lewis, Scott Jurek. There is many more more world class vegan athletes that just don't publicize their diets. Including strength athletes and football players. Ricky Williams. Being an elite vegan athlete is still somewhat new, but it is changing very rapidly. As more and more come forward it will totally change the ridiculous food pyramid and animal products will not only be absent from it, they will be advised to avoid.

Oh dear, fruitboy is getting wound up again. Soy mush must attack brain cells 'cause vegan math sucks. That poster suggests that each cow requires nearly 7 million gallons of water to grow the grain it will consume. Which would mean that Kevin Costner is flapping his webbed feet around here somewhere.

I would ask him, "Mac, why do you keep getting beat up? Would you like a steak? Slap it on that black eye and watch the swelling go down."
