Isn't that a proud anglo-saxon tradition?

I'll never forget Sean Kelly calling Philipe Gilbert Gillip Philbert (in pseudo french) and shorty afterwords I am pretty sure he completly glitched and called him Flippy Powpow.
In fairness to Sean he doesn't really pronounce English words properly either.

Also I wouldn't really be calling him Anglo-Saxon. Bit more Viking-Celtic round his way.

Now is Van der Poel more superior compared to his competition than any former pre race favorite I just mentioned? Probably yes, and I think he is the most likely winner...obviously. But I definitely don't expect this to go like this years Strade Bianche. I really don't think this will be an easy win for Van der Poel.
It did in fact go like Strade Bianche. It was in fact an easy win for Van der Poel.

Israel suddenly a good team this season, now they've had the chance to sharpen up in Tour of Antarctica 2.2

Apart from the fact that Pogačar and Van Aert are not racing, this Ronde is looking a lot like the Worlds last year, a Van der Poel masterclass.

Dylan Teuns was randomly the best rider in the world for like a week in 2022, will be lethal in the Ardennes which suit him more if he can hold it.

I liked the "Roglic gonna *** up the 3rd week MTT again" jynx better
Well in that race I underestimated the strength of a rider. This time I absolutely believed Van der Poel would be this strong. I just really didn't think the big early move was gonna be an 80km Pedersen solo.
