Vermeersch blocked the whole lot. Ofcourse bettiol and Theuns should position themselves. And ofcourse mvdp would have won (he actually made it harder for himself not waiting and going later), but I don’t like this kind of separation due to riders getting blocked. May I?
Was Vermeersch even in front of them?

Don't care what you say but I'm not really impressed with MVP's win today. Still think Pogacar would beat him today, he was really crascking in the last 15 km.
Not a chance in these conditions. High probability Pog would have crashed trying to follow. MvDP was railing the corners and Pogs bike handling is not the best

Maybe. But what is the point? Van Aert could’ve been better too, but neither raced today. The circumstances were very tiring, it could’ve cracked Wout and Teddy just as much or more.

We will never know. But it would have played out very different. No 40k solo for mvdp I don't think. Who knows how Pog would handle the slippery cobbles, he doesn't weigh much.
