Uhoh! He broke his streak! For a long time it looked like he was even going to be 2nd in the KMs up the road competition (behind Champion), but at least he pulled one top 1 off
If he becomes GC-G we won’t have him attacking to win stages like he did today. He really is the new GC G. I love it.
Indeed, he was the only one gutsy and strong enough to launch the winning attack (also well timed just at the top of the climb before the flat last bit) but also recovered just enough to make a good sprint.that was a great win ...the way he came back

Seem to be working, if true. He's very good at suffering, so that will help.A sport manager from IPT is a studio guest/pundit in the Czech TdF TV broadcast... he just said they have a plan for Derek to continually/slowly lose weight for next 2 yrs to make him competitive for GTs "Hindurain style"
Doping aside, altitude training works for some people.I saw a couple of separate interviews or at least quotes. First one he said last month was his first ever altitude training camp and second after friday's stage that he never felt better climbing and he kept waiting to get tired but it didn't happen. Maybe something to this altitude stuff?
It really worked for me as an amateur whenever I had the opportunity.Doping aside, altitude training works for some people.
I believe last year was his first year as an actual pro, as he was really doing more amateur National level stuff until 2022, when he joined up with the Israel development squad
Yup. I had a chance to do some weird low O2 breathing thing when I was a lot younger. Had some crazy form after it. 😆🙂It really worked for me as an amateur whenever I had the opportunity.
