Great leadout by Bystrøm, which made it harder for Ackermann and Bauhaus to get onto Kristoff's wheel.
But the old man still needed to have something left himself, which he obviously had. Nice win.

I thought yesterday that QS were going to take this race, but I don't see it happening anymore.

They have talked about going for Cav, Cav and Almeida. I don't see anyone of those 3 taking it. I heard on Eurosport today Almeida should be GC favourite, but I don't see it happening. And Cavendish seems to get stuck too low in the peleton ever since Paris.

I wish Greipel would win for obvious reasons though. (I know it won't likely happen ) ❤️

I just got the thought DQS might save Almeida for tomorrow? (Otherwise he's completely invisible in this race.)

Also better just let everyone loose in a race like this in their situation. They have nothing to lose.

Seems more or less all DQS is on the almost front of the peleton today. Obviously set up around Cavendish today.

Horrible weather again.

Weather looks absolutely disgusting, don't think Buchmann is enjoying playing the workhorse Ganna style for ages:laughing:
Think break might take this one.

Very impressive by Politt. How did he get the gap on Teuns? I turned my attention to the Vuelta and then Politt has a decent gap at about 2k to go?

I wish for Ben O'Connor, Almeida, Soler, Cavagna, Theuns etc to go on attacks and wreck havoc today since the race is so open. Otherwise it's gonna simply be boring at this point. I wouldn't mind Politt winning though. He's fun to watch and Greipel looks just as happy when Politt wins as if he won himself.

(Oh all the wishful thinking.)
