From watching the delayed coverage on Eurosport I feel that plenty of credit should be given to the riders throughout the startlist. It’s a stellar cast and the big names have shown themselves such as Nibali and Thomas and overall they have collectively outperformed the potential of the parcours.

Good points. Two things are missing though, the "Remco" award for the best attempt to make a good race out of a crap parcours and they forgot to name one of the hills "Willunga", maybe LRP could've shown some slight interest in the race.

Yes it is worth not taking for granted how rare a talent and engine Evenepoel has to make stars like Geraint Thomas turn themselves inside out to drag him back. The recovery he showed to again split the race apart and drop the race leader bodes well for future GC prospects where recuperating from repeated hard efforts is absolutely essential.

Love the Richie Porte comment. I like him but it definitely made me laugh and smile.

Not even sure what Porte is doing there. Course doesn't suit him. I guess he's there as a domestique. Looks like another year wasted. Aru managed to back up and do the Vuelta. Motivation can't be too high.

Sometimes I have no idea what your points are.

You'd think that after yesterday they'd be kinda… tired. Then again; I'm not even sure "tired" exists in Asgreen's vocabulary… It's awesome, but... they're certainly not the guys I would have expected.

You do know that these guys are professional athletes, right?

Break caught, Cort kept going alone and got the points on the final climb, taking the climbers jersey away from Nibali on the last day, after which he dropped back to the peloton.

Ben Gastauer is trying alone and has 25 seconds.

65 k to go.

Is that certain? Nibali being second on the climb.
