Yeah, you might be right. There definitely didn't seem to be any communication between the two as to tactics, and Brennan seemed pretty unaware of when the finish line was coming?

I don't know? Seemed like Brennan was riding his regular sprint and coming through the middle between Van Poppel and Waerenskjold right up until Van Poppel steered into him for the second time. Of course starting his sprint further forward would have eliminated that threat.

Relegating Van Poppel was the correct decision but Brennan messed up his positioning by staying too far back.

Wærenskjold should take the overall now, he is having a really good summer.
