I didn't miss them but undoubtedly they would have provided more excitement than some of the teams that were there.

The problem with such a question is that you do not know what they might have done. I think that in none of the GT's really a team can be said to have been missed, you watch the racing and if it is exciting enough, you won't miss any team. To be frnak I do believe a team or two could have been missed from the vuelta and the inclusion of a team such as Vacansoleil, or perhaps RS (not too certain about the latter) would really have coloured the race a bit more perhaps, but we will never know. i myself am quite happy with what the wildcard teams have done (with the exception of Sky, but they cannot be blamed for this and it is quite tragic)

yeah sky shouldnt be blamed but sure Valconsoliel would have been good and Radioshack would as well, Machado Brajkovic Ricco (if uci stopped being nobs) bozic!
Also think Androni with Bertagnoli, Scarponi and Serpa would have done well

Did androni request a wildcard? I do think they would be a good inclusion. They are at the 18th spot at the moment in the team classification, and with the ending of Cérvelo they would be in the top 17 teams and assured of a place in all the GT's which would be nice, although I don't think their team will be up to that task

I think they would have been good for this Vuelta. Leipheimer, Horner and Brajkovic could've spiced up the top 10 a little bit. If leipheimer had the form of 2008 he would've had a great chance for overall victory. But then again, I don't know if this year's course suited him.

Let's be honest, Sky is boring and didn't deserve any invitation for a GT this season. Now it's their fair choice to drop out because someone on their team died, but if I was making the decisions I would try to win stages and dedicate it to his memory. The money earned would go to the family of the person who passed away.

It doesn't matter if it came from an ***, I think Casartelli's family was happy with this victory dedicated to Casartelli. Or Vino's Paris-Nice victory when a good friend of him died in the race.

All price money from the stage Sky pulled out went for Txema's family, every rider and team agreed on that.
