Is that what the doctor said? In fact are you a doctor?? Not that really matter because anyone with the gift of sight and the semblence of a brain cell could see the fella was sick, he's been on anti biotics for days, or is that made up as well?

What a poor excuse for 'an Administrator' you are! Ive been a follower of this forum for years and the levels to which these discussions have sunk recently defies belief.

Its not so much of a fans discussion of cycling these days, but dumb immature *****iness and playground character assassination.

Completely moronic, you should get out a bit more and grow the F*** up.

Well said.

I used to read this site often but got feed up reading the nonsense most of the poster on here dribble out.

Every now and again I think lets have a look what the morons are saying today and am never disappointed by these moronic comments.

This site seems to be for childish pr*cks who make comments on riders based on if they like them or not, nothing seems to be based on objective observation, some of the comments are just unbelievable.

I love the sport of cycling and don't feel the need to hate or obsess about 1 rider or another, luckily there are many other boards where you can have intelligent conversation about the sport and the riders.

I will add that there are some good posters on here but they seem to get drowned out by the idiots.

It's funny with all the marginal gains, soigneurs fumigating the rooms before the riders enter them, personalized pillows and blankets and what not, Sky forgot that the best way to not get sick.... is to get sick. That is the only way your body can build the antibodies. Sky should inject all their riders with influenza in the off season so as to prevent marginal losses like this.

It also reminds me of this article:

Team Sky engage in extreme measures to protect Wiggins from disease

That's very true. A lot of studies coming out in regards to children and parents attempting to keep their environments so sterile they get sick when they go school as they've not built up the resistance.

If it was anything other rider you accept it. Unfortunatly for Sky it unravels all their marginal gains BS.

He had anti - biotics for a saddle sore before Trentino, very good for ones immune system at 3% bodyfat.

He has a cold but his main problem looks psychological. Killed of by BMC yesterday.

This is true.

Wiggins gets a hard time because he was telling us how he was going for the Giro/Tour double.

He's very easy to pick on. Because he talks so much crap that's its fun to throw it back it him. I think some of it is that Wiggins tries to come across as Joe Average - man of the people - when he is anything but. He is very abrasive character not to mention extremely thick.

If he was in X-factor he'd be voted off early on.

You cannot treat influenza with antibiotics.

I also don't think there has even been a proven link between immunosuppression and short-term antibiotics use.

And what does body fat percentage have to do with it?

If you don't like what get's written here, don't read the forum, simple as that. Your posts certainly don't do anything to help matters. If you don't like it here so much why come here and post crap like this?
BTW, which formerly banned members are you guys? Certainly seem to have a grudge to bear.

Anyways, back on topic. Wiggins probably has some kind of sickness, it makes sense that he would come down with something with the weather we've had and the way he road the last stage. But his reason for losing so much time has more to do with the mental side I think then it just be due to a case of sickness.

He's probably sick now, as is half the peloton.
Does not change the fact that, as someone else said, "I have never beaten a healthy opponent".

Maybe he will recover for the tour, handn't much chances anyway to win the giro with all those hard mountains (this is not the Tour de Flat).

Sky have a track record of some fairly awkward/unbelievable spin (e.g. around Yates and Sutton leaving the team), so although there's clearly something wrong with Wiggins, I doubt it's as simple as a cold.

A "sudden illness" also makes some of the team's questionable tactics up to now in this race, less open to question.

Anyway, I hope Wiggins gets himself sorted soon and back to full mental/physical shape.

If you have read my post you have your answer, I don't read very often anymore due to the tone and nature of the majority of posts.

BTW, which formerly banned members are you guys? Certainly seem to have a grudge to bear.

Again the answer to this question is available to you by looking at my profile, I have been registered for four years. I have no grudge just find the childish and hateful nature of some comments reprehensible.

By the fact you have responded I assume you are one of the posters I refer to in my first post?

I don't think there's any reason to disbelieve Sky's statements that Wiggins is sick. Even if it's pretty minor, it can have a huge impact on performance.

Also, everyone is scared that Vino will return.
