Does Wiggins need to "win" the time trials?

Wiggans needs to take at least 5-6 minutes from Evans, Menchov, Sanchez etc. in the time-trials to stand a chance to be in yellow in Paris

Well except Dauphine 2011 where he took time out of Evans in the mountain stages in addition to the TT (with IIRC more MTFs than this year's Tour...)

With the way GTs have been riden lately (minus AC + AS) there is no way a gap that big will open up.

EDIT: But the biggest gap Wiggo could get on Evans in a TT is maybe max 1:30. Evans & Wiggo are relatively even when it comes to the TT (someone will be angry with this claim I am sure.)
