why the hotline? Is it in place to report Lance's activities? I mean it's been established here that he is the cause and cure of all things doping

I'd love to get hold of this number.

Shouldn't it be widely advertised and readily accessible?

Like right on the home page, possibly under QUICK ACCESS?

Nope.

Just another Pat/Hein charade.

From Phat's letter:

"...In December, I will be meeting all first and second division teams to address the issues which will ensure a clean, anti-doping culture going forward..."

Gimme a break. Sounds like a travel boondoggle for Pat where the best that can be hoped for is some sort of singing songs around a campfire.

Does this mean that he has already booked his flight to Teneriffe? If so, will he be helping out as a dope mule?

Intriguing timing of his proposed meetings given the activities of 80% of the peloton at that time of year.

Perhaps he can illuminate what is meant by a "...clean, anti-doping culture"? Will the sport finally be clean of anti-doping efforts?

This initiative is another comic failure by the UCI, and underscores that the UCI leadership refuses to acknowledge the significance of the problem.

The UCI must completely remove itself from any involvement in anti-doping. The opportunity for abuse is real, as the conflict of interest is ever present. The doping legacy within the sport is a strong testament to the UCI's ineptitude and perpetuation of the status quo.

Potential Sponsor " We are thinking of investing $10mln but have concerns about the drugs, what are you doing Mr McQuaid ?"

PM " We have instigated a doping hotline "

And, being proactive about all of this doping hullabaloo, I even sent all the riders a letter...

ms hog please enlighten us ignorant souls..............what gear is that?

or are you unable to reveal your sources?

Why get personal? Ms. Hog?

I've reported this post as offensive and sexist.

I assume "ms" refers that I'm "sissy" or "weak"

How do you think females feel when you refer and judge people in this manner?

Its 2012. I think we can move beyond gender and sexist stereotypes.

We need to be more progressive in our terminology. Your words have consequences. Please refrain from such sexist remarks.

Thank-you.

?

sorry the hog.............no offence was intended

long ago i addressed you as 'mr hog' a fellow member suggested that you

were female hence my amendment not knowing your marital status

once again you don't answer the question

ps feel free to call me miss bandit mr bandit or ms bandit but perhaps not

'junior' which you often use when talking down to members

pps why would you consider being of female gender 'weak'....that's

so sexist!

Apology not accepted. I've reported your post.

So let me get this straight, we are being asked to believe that the same UCI which by their own admission didn't see any doping going on for years is now going to eradicate the major doping problem of which they have suddenly become aware, by installing a "Hotline" so that riders can narc each other out.
How stupid do UCI really thing cycling fans are?

BTW off topic but I have always thought reporting peoples posts is kind of like running crying to the kindergarten teacher. Am I the only one who feels that way?

It is not how stupid they think their fans are. They are patting themselves on the back for what they consider brilliance. Who knew that you could use this thing they call the telephone? I hear that it now has a dial pad.

BTW - I have just reported this post since you called me a kindergarten child.

Holy balls, that letter - McQuack starts like a bench bully: See what the strong boys said? Get the message! Clean now! And btw, you can call us, and if you're lucky, you may to win a couple of extra surprise early morning visits.

"You will have seen in recent media reports that Philippe Gilbert, Mark Cavendish and Bradley Wiggins among many others have been strong voices in telling the world that today’s cycling is cleaner than ever before."

Btw., the answering machine should start with "if you want to tell on Wiggo, you're f***ing w***er!"
