Thermonuclear Women's 400m final, SML less that .2sec behind Marita Koch's record in the rain and Paulino with 47:98, the 3rd fastest time ever! I recon that with conditions the record would have fallen.

No woman had run under 48 seconds in the 400 metres since Marita Koch ran the world record of 47.60 on 6 October 1985, 40 years ago. To have two women run under 48 seconds in the same race is absolutely unbelievable! Jarmila Kratochvílová is the only other athlete who has run sub-48 seconds, with 47.99 in 1983. Yes, if the conditions were good, the record might have been surpassed.

Go back and watch her technique in the Olympic 400M hurdles. It's bizzarely aggressive in that she alternates lead hurdle leg in a corner. She's also able to take several hurdles by initiating her hurdle stride and passing over the lane separation line to cut her angle over the hurdle. It's legal because she doesn't touch the ground outside of her lane but she saves distance on 2 or 3 hurdles. Genius coaching and I'm sure others would consider it, but her length of stride effectively allows a skip of a full stride in each of those instances.
Kerley is an iredeemably stupid domestic abuser, his decision making here makes perfect sense given his track record

What happens to Aron D'Souza when a competitor at the enhanced games loses their life to unrestricted and unregulated doping? It can only be a matter of time. I very much doubt D'Souza would push this if he lived in litigious America.

Well altitude records are still accepted as legit records, unlike this.
Though I would actually expect the IAAF to try to do anything to cancel the records to protect Bolt even a decade after his career is over.

I'm not. She is about to beat an "impossible world record" and what she does in 400m hurdles is truly remarkable. I don't think why it is ridiculous to say what I said.

400 hurdles is a weak event. SML is not even the the most impressive currently running - that's Faith Kipyegon - SML gets a lot of hype because she's American and married to a football player.
SML and Jefferson-Wooden really stink the place out with their performances. You never see them competing the rest of the year then they come out for thee champs and blow everyone away.

Again, it's your opinion but claiming SML is the most impressive female athlete ever is not ridiculous. 400m hurdles is not a weak event, it doesn't have a lot of history but what she does there is really impressive and I really believe her world record will last at least 10 years.
400m is not a weak event and its world record is one of the oldest world records. She and Paulino were the 3rd and 4th woman to run under 48 seconds and Sydney was the first woman to really come close of this world record.

SML is sus as all hell with her never running outside the US outside major championships and being trained by Bob Kersee and all that, and her acolytes dismissing all results by any 400 runner all year round, flat or hurdler, as irrelevant because of not beating SML (who of course is seldom there to run against anyway) are incredibly annoying, but looking at her records as a junior and cadet racer, she's also very evidently absurdly talented regardless.

From her era, she is a top3 athlete for sure. For me, she is number one.

we just saw 2 greater females in Chebet and Kipyegon - if they were american people would never stop talking about them
