Tried to tell you guys and girls that Durbridge is TT'ing well - One of the discussion points in Durbridge re-signing with Orica was focusing more on the ITT - Note that Durbridge is world class at TT between 10 -25kms - After that he falls away.

Exactly like the guy he beat for less than a second - Sylvain Chavanel.

Alexander Kristoff is ready for Sunday.

Kristoff is coming into form and is a definite chance to win RVV - Have Kristoff on three stars.

There's no way he's getting over these hills with the best imo. Did you see how big of a gap Gilbert managed to open up on him Tuesday? He's one of these guys that needs to be in the form of his life to get over these hills with the best. I don't believe in him this year.

You can never write off Kristoff, but his good ITT and his win in the second stage doesn't change the fact that he struggled on the climbs in E3 and in the first stage of the Driedaagse.

You're right about that. But I think he's getting there. Definitely one of my top 5 favourites along with Degenkolb and Gilbert apart from the obvious two. I don't think tuesday's example is too good of an example. After he missed the split, he worked a lot himself and simply tired himself out compared to Gilbert.

I think Kristoff would be wise to try to be in a group ahead of Sagan/GVA before the second time on Kwaremont. Maybe follow someone from QS who'll surely attack. The Kwaremont is the weak spot, on the Paterberg he's usually a beast. Looks mighty strong on the flats as well now.

Even Pippo chased the group then dropped Kristoff on the Muur. Don't see Kristoff being anywhere near the action sunday.

Kristoff to be fair had already taken a lot of turns by that point.

More importantly though by his own admission he likes to have a few days of really hard racing to get in form and I think it's working. He got dropped on day 1 and still did a strong sprint at the end. The extra kms in Flanders will help him more so than most other riders.

For sure I think its a given he can't follow Sagan/Avermaet on a climb but if he comes back in a group behind or is already up the road he probably has the best chance of any rider winning the sprint at the end of this kind of race.
