This happened on 17 October but apparently it only now is being reported.
Jan Louis was ranked 104th best pro according to CyclingRanking.com.
On Oct. 17, at around 6:30 a.m., Louis was riding his bike to work on Appleby Line, near Harvester Road, in Burlington when he was struck by the driver of a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Louis, who was 67, is predeceased by his ex-wife, Daniella Theophilus, and leaves behind two sons, Jeanaky Ferdinand and Mario Dumerville, four siblings, Francis, Annette, Daniel, and Ann-Marie, as well as several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Born in Martinique, Louis lived in St. Lucia for many years before coming to Canada more than 30 years ago, settling first in Brantford and more recently in Burlington.
Back home, he was a well-known national cycling star, who won numerous prestigious road races, most notably the inaugural three-stage Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States Cycling Championships in 1987 and the National Day Ovaltine Cycling Championship in 1989....

Decorated cyclist Jean ‘Raas’ Louis honed his sport on the paths and roadways of his two homes, in St. Lucia and Canada. Ebikes give bicycles a bad name. Sad that motorists group them together as a common enemy. ebikes are closer to motorbikes than bicycles and laws are catching up. In Australia, any ebike with more than 250 watts is classified as a motorbike.
I am sure it is different in different countries but where I am (Australia) ebikes are not being policed closely enough. We have kids riding these things helmet-less and piggy back at obviously high speeds on busy public roads. There have been four e-bike deaths involving children and teenagers in Australia since July. Three have been in Queensland.

The victim's name isn't given so next of kin probably hadn't been notified when this was published.
Emergency services were called to the A286 near Easebourne, north of Midhurst at 8.47 on Friday night, November 7th.
The cyclist, a 21-year old man from Haslemere in Surrey, was taken to hospital after being found lying in the road but sadly died on Saturday morning.
The incident happened approximately 500 metres south of the crossroads with Kings Drive.
While at the scene of the incident, police were given information about a silver BMW motor car that was identified as possibly involved in the collision and a 21-year-old local man was subsequently arrested.
He has now been further arrested for causing death by dangerous driving and other offences relating to the collision. The silver BMW has been located and recovered.
He remains in police custody while the investigation continues into the circumstances.

Belgian cyclocross champion Marion Norbert Riberolle was hit by a car in training on Sunday, ruling her out of her next three planned races and leaving her with an upper leg wound that required staples.
"A 'small' unexpected fall, not on the training schedule this morning. I left the hospital this afternoon after being hit by a motorist for refusing priority, and unfortunately, it hit hard," said Norbert Riberolle on Facebook, describing the incident and posting pictures of her sealed wound.
"The result: a few staples, a hurt back, pain everywhere and a bad morale. Luckily, the bike is doing better than me...
...Though left with "pain everywhere," fortunately, she escaped anything more sinister than the large gash on her left side, and a decision will be made by her team, Crelan-Corendon, on Monday, on when she can return to racing.
"Belgian champion Marion Norbert Riberolle has to let the next three races - Niel, Merksplas and Hamme - pass. Marion came in on Sunday during a training collision with a car," said her team on Instagram.

A Gurugram-based businessman, who was injured in a hit-and-run incident in DLF Phase 2 on Wednesday, has died. Amitabh Jain, 58, was cycling in the morning when a Hyundai Santro hit him from behind. Jain was critically injured, and the car driver fled the scene.
CCTV cameras in the area captured the hit-and-run. The footage shows Jain cycling around 7.15 am on Wednesday. He is in the left lane, and the Santro is seen behind him. The road looks largely empty, and it is not clear why the Santro didn't just overtake the cycle.
A police case was registered soon after the accident, and now that Jain has died, more charges could be added.
According to the police, the CCTV footage helped them find the car's registration number. They have used it to identify the owner and are now looking for him. Police went to the address in the registration records, but could not find the car or its owner there. A manhunt is now on to track down the vehicle....
