Competitive cyclists nearly rundown by raging Orange County drivers​

Frightening video shows two competitive cyclists out for a training ride when they were suddenly targeted by an aggressive driver coming dangerously close to their bikes and throwing objects at them over the weekend in Orange County...

...The dramatic footage shows the driver of a blue BMW coming up behind one of them, getting well within striking distance of his rear wheel while they’re in the bike lane. Fearing for his life, video shows Byra bunny hop onto the sidewalk and out of the BMW’s path.

The driver immediately speeds up and, again, gets dangerously close to Fetzer...

...The BMW driver wasn’t the only one being aggressive. A person behind the wheel of a black and red corvette, at least verbally, reportedly joined in on the activities, with passengers in both vehicles yelling homophobic slurs at the cyclists and throwing a water bottle at them....

This took an additional twist.. The BMW driver looked up one of the riders on Instagram and challenged him to some kind of dual, with suggestions of MMA style fight, making reference to the cyclists not having gonads if they declined to fight. Absolutely amazing that law enforcement has let this rise to this point, the car in the bike lane, things being thrown from the vehicle, driver stopping ahead in an attempt to confront riders..what needs to happen before law enforcement steps in? Ridiculous

Man Dies After Speeding Car Hits Bicycle In Thane. He Began Cycling That Day​

The victim, Srinivas Tandle, owner of multiple garment stores, had taken up cycling for fitness on the very day of the accident.

A 42-year-old businessman was killed after a speeding car, allegedly driven by a 17-year-old boy, hit his bicycle in Maharashtra's Thane district, police said on Thursday.

The boy fled after the incident, which occurred on an incomplete stretch of the Kalyan Ring Road at around 8 pm on Tuesday, and was apprehended on Wednesday, they said.

The victim, Srinivas Tandle, owner of multiple garment stores, had taken up cycling for fitness on the very day of the accident.

While he was riding, a car swerved at high speed, flung him into the air, and the driver fled the spot, a police official said.

The businessman was later taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival, he said.

Police identified the car from CCTV footage and tracked the damaged vehicle to the parking lot of the building where the boy resided in Kalyan. The teenager was subsequently detained, the official said....
