OPQS putting the hammer down while somebody is in trouble?

So, that's 2-1 to them in the bad sportsmen twitter club stakes.;)

I seriously hope BMC wont have any major crashes or mechanicals late in the race. They have had their own fair share of bad luck this year already.

Bad luck being a euphemism for crap form.

I reckon Morabito is your best bet.

looks like Farnese Vini is sitting in a quite comfortable position with their three best riders (besides Pozzato of course) in the break

Were you even watching MSR? BMC have also been troubled with a lot of injuries/illnesses early in the season. Nah I will be happy if morabito gets 2nd on GC.

MSR? Same luck as OPQ and many of the other teams.
2nd for Morabito would be a fantastic result.
Just imagine if BMC had chased the stage 1 breakaway?!!
Anyhow...........on with today's race, eh?

anyway, they'll have to deliver results quickly if they don't want to take him and/or van Garderen to the Ronde and Paris - Roubaix

Cancellara will have to solo to beat Boonen or Sagan. At this distance, I would favor the two later, but the later climbs could go to Cancellara. How far behind is he?

Those are my picks for the top three. Gilbert, unknown factor. He may be focusing down the road for a grand tour points jersey or place well here and come into form right on time for the major classics.

Studies or work, I've got to pick and choose my races.

Cancellara is surely back in the bunch (they got stopped at a level crossing according to the Sporza ticker)

Boonen looks his best in years. Sagan, not a known factor on the cobbles, but has looked impressive and can finish fast. I have know idea of the finish profile. I am squinting at the one provided.

As far as I know the finish of the E3 is pan flat, on a big ugly road where there's usually a lot of (head)wind.

Exactly. Last sprint was in 2004. It's a very hard race and it will be ridden very agressively; I don't think Sagan will be up there in the end.

Sagan's best result on cobbles is 46th in Gent Wevelgem. Hes incredibly talented rider but so far he didint prove that he may be the favourtite on cobbles.

Has he or his team ever really focused on them? It would seem that he would the type excel. Unless he's puts as much effort into the pave as he does the TT bike.

Sagan seems to spent most of the last 12 months doing things that folks said he couldn't do
I actually remember him doing very well in his first Paris Roubaix until he hit the 200km barrier.

So I believe he can ride on cobbles
