peabrained? or is he just training for the Ardennes classics?

He was aiming for LBL this season, but that's not going to happen.
Prolly AGR now, but he did pretty good in Vlaanderen last year. He might want to make that a priority now.

Well.... Let me just say that when I hear an interview with him the last word that comes to mind is 'scholar'.

Because that has so much to do with racing intellect.

Well, where's the racing intellect in jumping away with 51km to go by yourself, and then looking to give up the attack 4 kms later and letting yourself get re-absorbed?

Did he think Boonen and the Canc would make the jump with him or something?

It's the testosterone he took for breakfast wrecking havoc with his brain

Either that, or he's been taking tactical lessons from Björn "Oh look, the pack's at full speed and the break is 4 minutes ahead. I'll try to bridge alone. That can't fail." Leukemans, the moron himself.

Just saying that coming across dumb in interviews has nothing to do with that. Might be just testing his legs.
Devolder pciked the exact right spot to go in Flanders 2 years in a row. Ever heard an interview with him? :p

Well, it wouldn't be the first time that Hoogerland cost himself a race by going off way to soon. Last year he rode a very respectable Worlds (14th) despite having spent the best part of the last 80 kms attacking and pulling on a break. Same in Lombardia, except he managed to stay with all the favorites (save Gilbert and Sanchez) despite having ridden hard for 40 kms while all the others were reasonably comfortable in the peleton being piloted by their teammates.

random Radioshack riders probably 90,000 to 1 to win this race.

Boonen having another go, Flecha hanging on.

Boonen, Flecha, Canc

Ubergroup.

If they work together this should be it.

7 guys chasing. Boom, Langeveld, Burghardt, Pozzato and...?
