Did Van den Berg really think he had a better chance of winning solo than waiting for the sprint? Come on!

But he's developed into an impressive rider.

You probably didn't see the interview with him post-race then. He was really angry at himself for not waiting for the sprint. Called himself stupid. He thought he had the best sprint out of the group. But he found himself with a bit of a gap, and in the moment decided to go for it.

Obviously I wanted to him take the win, but seeing an EF rider in the fight is better than being invisible.

Not entirely Healy’s fault that few riders in his smaller chasing group (before MVDP brought the other group back) were willing to work with him. Not sure what happened with Carapaz —went too deep on Redoubt?

It's just funny that there are 27 riders in the front and they end up 26th and 27th.

I think he pulled an Asgreen (following Pogacar for too long and then completely blowing up).
