Got moderate redemption today, good finish for Alex Baudin, really rode well. Sprint the day before shows 2,3 EF riders getting in the mix with @2 k or less to go but nobody wants a wheel all just sort of fade. At least goofy director sent someone for the break..and he really represented well.. Team went all if for Giro, I hope that they are not going to just not show up at any big races.

So will EF be the last team to publicly announce their TdF squad?
It isn't that I need to know. I'm just really bored in the two weeks between Suisse and TdF.
The national championships don't really fill the void for me, especially since the US already theirs.

Some lucky rider will be added in place of Carapaz, but who? A sprinter?

My only expectations for this tour is that EF works really hard to get somebody in the break every day.
I'm not saying they will succeed, just that they will try.

This year they were beaten by INEOS. But they have a big excuse. They are scrambling to find riders in good form. LOL.

So
A purely stage hunting team. Unless Healy wants to try out the HC thing (wasn’t there a rumor about that?).

Yes, there was talk of Healy wanting to become a GC rider before the Dauphine. I think I read it on the Inner Ring blog.
But I don't remember Healy showing any kind of GC skills in that race.

If EF wanted a GC presence, I think Powless would be their best bet. He did manage a 12th place (-45 minutes down) in 2022. But at that time EF really needed the 125 UCI points that came with it. Three years later EF is in a stronger UCI points position and in no danger of relegation so it is possible the have zero GC goals.

With this lineup I would rather they just focus on stage wins. Although the best opportunities (course-wise) are in week 1 when all the teams will be eager to snag wins. Could end up being a very subdued Tour for results, but will be glad to be surprised.
