Carthy was pretty mediocre this spring. Without him, this roster looks rather weak, though. Apart from Carr maybe, neither of those riders has shown particularly much this spring.

I keep reading that the Giro has lots of sprinting stages and it will be getting a strong sprinting field.
There's no GC power in the above roster.
So I can only conclude EF has packed their roster with stage hunters for the days when the break succeeds.

In the comment section of his Giro preview Mr Inner Ring says that Steinhauser could be a "surprise" in the white jersey (youth) competition. Not winning it, just possibly doing well.

I only know him from his PCS stats, which tell me nothing about him possibly surprising. Other than finishing high would indeed be a surprise. Anyone heard anything about this guy?

So if there is a "Jan and Sara" he is Uncle Jan alongside Auntie Sara, but not a blood relative. Gotcha.

Probably the best way of getting Disc+ commentators to correct their facts is to have PCS corect theirs. I think it is about the only source of information they ever seem to have.

Unless you're telling me there are two Ullrich married with two Steinhauser, if Ullrich is no longer married with Sara Steinhauser he has no family relationship with Georg.

He'd probably kill the break though due to his potential to move into the top 15. Wouldn't Piccolo or Cepeda be a better option for a stage win?
