This seems bizarre since it seems more like Nippo fled the disastrous Delko Provence team, rather than them being poached.
It's not too far off the mark really, they just keep absorbing teams and/or sponsors. This time is slightly different with it just being a sponsor but Bruyneel isn't really wrong here.

Cannondale is set to continue parthership with the team until 2023:

Just seeing this now, I think it's a harsh take on Bruyneel's part. Cervelo and Cannondale were both folding their teams anyway; Vaughters just picked up the bike sponsors and gave contracts to riders who might otherwise have been left hanging.

Yeah cheap comment, talking to bike makers who sponsor other teams is pretty common. In the case of Nippo this was poaching a sponsor who clearly wanted out of its current arrangement

was it poaching? I think Nippo signed with Delko until end 2020. and since the problems with Delko´s management were big, they looked elsewhere.

As of 31th of January, 2021, Julien El Fares, who has been called one of the most random transfers ever, is the best EF's rider in 2021 so far in terms of results.

Simon Carr was impressive today. Very good transfer for the team.
As he is someone who had enjoyed some success in karting before he started pursuing a career in cycling, I expect some Roglic/Woods/Evenepoel kind of things from him.

All I'm waiting for now is a former professional chess player to start winning in cycling too.

Pretty abysmal performance from the team at OHN.

Much better at Faun-Ardeche Classic. Carthy must be in a good form if such a diesel like him finishes 3rd in a classic and Simon Carr continues to prove he deserves the chance he's got at this team.

At least better than Trek, and EF didn't start with their whole A team like them.

TBH I don't quite understand why Bettiol was riding the French race instead of this. Cobbled classics seemed to be kind of a focus for the team in the last few years and they remain the last area of the team that retains (on paper) a good level of depth after the loss of so many good riders after 2020 so I find it disappointing to perform like that in OHN regardless if they chose to send the strongest squad or not.

I feel the team needs some overhaul for 2022- will they have the funds for the right riders, though?

OHN- outside top10 overall
SB- outside top10 overall
PN- outside top10 overall
Tirreno- outside top10 overall
That would have been pretty abysmal start of the season if not for a couple of wins at PN. The loss of quality during last transfer market seems to be visible. The classics team has been particularly dissapointing with Valgren injured and Bettiol and the rest off form.

Rutsch looks to be in great form, as does Bissegger. They should actually try to ride for them a bit next to Bettiol.

Why is EF always so abysmal at Milano-Sanremo? Clarke's 9th place in 2019 is their only top10 ever in this race.

And what's going on with Bettiol this year? :(
