And hopefully EF can hang on to him, too. Great victory for a good guy.If somebody makes a Powless thread all I ask is that they not use the word "thread" in the name .

Isn't Narvaez going to Bora too? I thought everyone was heading to Bora this year.Ivan Sosa is going to Bora. So it is not him. I would put my money on Jhonathan Narvaez. He is a good all rounder.

Apparently he said it was just because he was looking at his Garmin and saw the corner ahead. He said everyone else was too focused on the race situation. That was a stellar race from them, with Carr attacking early and then Powless following wheels ((Mohoric) to bring him up to Carr. I thought Powless might have tossed it away by going too early on the last climb, but he was able to hang on over the top and was the only one to get through the crash corner cleanly.
It's exactly because of it. They have such a thin squad that the only races they send a squad capable of doing anything are big races. The odd thing about EF at the moment is that despite a rather thin squad and despite a paucity of wins, the wins they do have tend to be reasonably big.
Where does it say it's for 3 years?
It doesn't make it any less discouraging! It is all about money.
Agreed. Reminds me of being a Seattle Mariners fanIt doesn't make it any less discouraging!
They already had one of the lowest budgets in WT in 2020. Now it seems they can't even keep the level they had in 2020. That's just hugely disappointing.
So on this note today, when everyone that cares about a stage or GC position was mostly up front; seemingly the entire Pink Entourage was channeling the mindset of one of the " a new directors"....and were massed at the back. Just in time to be blocked by the crash that took out the Race leader and others. Is Carthy not paying attention or what?Apparently he said it was just because he was looking at his Garmin and saw the corner ahead. He said everyone else was too focused on the race situation.
Well, then there is that prize.I don't think Carthy is in top5 GC worthy form here anyway.
Being at the back of the peloton during the "allez opi omi" crash is what made EF finish the last TdF with all 8 riders relatively unscathed so it has its advantages.
