He had really good form at the start of the season and through the spring. Probably not surprising he didn’t have the same form in July.

I think he suffered from the crashes during the Ardennes campaign, which I think affected his training preparation for TdF and his form didn't recover until San Sebastian.

It's not so much that his TdF form wasn't his peak form, it was the worst Powless I've seen in a long time.

So according to PCS these current EF riders are not under contract for anyone next season

Of the remaining I'd reckon the following will stay on:
Amador
Caicedo
Doull
Eiking
Quinn
Shaw
Julius van den Berg
Marijn van den Berg- unless he's been poached (which I see as only candidate of these)

It's actually riders with 2024 contracts that underdelivered the most compared to expectations- Carapaz, Piccolo, Honore, Chaves, Uran...

That's assuming there are no more outside signings on the way, but I'm not sure about that because there have been rumours about a few others like Markel Beloki and Harry Sweeny.

It wouldn't surprise me if Eiking left.

Amador is Carapaz' friend and I think that's the best he has going for him ATM because on performance alone he didn't really deserve a contract extension IMO.

M. Van den Berg would be the biggest loss so hopefully they'll keep him. Quinn and Shaw are riders definetely worth keeping too but some of the remaining spots surely will go to riders preferring flatter races because there's few too few of them under contract right now. Doull had a decent season so I would like to keep him but TBH I would like to see at least 2 outside signings in that department- one guy who can add strength to cobbled races and one guy who can sprint. But looking at everything, my wish is unlikely to come true. It feels like there's no way so many of current riders are going to leave to make place for even more new signings as EF is already bringing 5 neo-pros as of confirmed transfers by now + Valgren is coming back.

Very confused about what Uran and Chavez bring to the table both are solid riders but not too dynamic or punchy don't see them off the front for a win in stage races or significant 1 day events.

Healey a bright spot at Tour de Lux today.

I'm happy he won the Irish NC, but my color vision is deficient and that color scheme on his jersey just makes it hard for me to spot him.

And yet he still had a pretty good WCRR on what was by all accounts a brutally hard course. Not sure why he was bad in the tour.

As I said, my hypothesis is that the Ardennes crashes disrupted his form and TdF preparations, but with TdF in his legs, his form came back later. Not uncommon for riders to be in good form 1-2 weeks after completing a GT.

If the merger between QS and JV goes through as rumoured, I will be very disappointed if EF doesn't pick up someone decent to bolster their sprinting/northern classics squad. But I actually expect that they won't.

24th win of the season with Carr in Langkawi. Ammatipyoraili on Twitter reports EF didn't have so many wins in a season since 2011.
Haven't checked if true, but all in all I would consider it a good season, despite some of their top riders underperforming.

I think the number of wins is largely due to targetting smaller races a lot more this year, not due to the team performing better.

The number of WT wins paints a largely different picture:
2023: 4
2022: 3
2021: 11
2020: 8
2019: 4

Carr and Cepeda have had good seasons, though. And Van der Lee's first appearance in EF's colours was promising today.

Some of the teams near the bottom of the WT ranking missed the boat by not targetting this race - For example, DSM could have sent Onley or Jayco could have sent Pena/Berhe - And these same types of teams should be riding the Tour of Turkey.
