I'm not so scared. Riders getting confectious diseases is unlikely to be a new thing, and it's not like this is infinitely more contagious than the common cold or the flu, and we quite rarely see entire pelotons (or indeed large parts) falling victim to the same disease during a race...
COVID mostly relies on super spreaders so if theres none of them in the peloton I think they should be fine.

I just wanna stress again, while it's true that for some reason some people are more likely to contaminate the people they're around than others, a key ingredient to being a super spreader is surrounding yourself with a lot of people. Which these riders of course are doing.
