Very happy for Greg, great win. And lol at him beating 'leader' Gilbert again

Smart race from Dumoulin, not wasting too much energy early when Boom and the others were. Sucks that Styby wasn't there anymore. Only Dumoulin potentially lacking enoughteam support could cost him the win.

Funny indeed. With the overhead view the last 1km I really thought it was Gilbert on that big gear powering away from everyone.

Good ol days huh? Gilbert had some great preparation in 2011, so much is for sure.

crazy speed by greg. well deserved!
g thomas hasn't that kind of explosive stuff

Thomas didn't look right from about 20k. Was surprised to see him at the finish. Hasn't really had much of a break since the start of the season

Well chuffed for GVA

Don't get this comment, Gilbert has had a pretty good year so far while Van Avermaet hasn't been racking up too much top results.

Not really that surprising Van Avermaet is better here. Almost all the guys shining in this race are coming of the Tour de France. At the same time Gilbert didn't do the Tour and on top of that was ill in the buildup, causing him to miss Wallonie, fail in San Sebastian and not to be on top of his game here.

Greg hasn't picked up may top results yet he has done well in San Sebastien, nearly won two Tour de France stages (should have won stage 2), second in RvV and Het Volk. He's been consistently close to two big wins.

Greg is always consistently up there, the entire year. On a great diversity of profiles as well.
Awesome rider, somehow I'm happy he isn't a killer else he would win waaaay too often. I prefer underdogs ;)

I think Dumoulin will do a number on everyone tomorrow

I hope you are right, but I'm not that sure.
He is obviously feeling great and he keeps on amazing me. He was a talent, but I don't think that 2 years ago anybody expected him to be the 2nd best TT rider in 2014.

well deserved win for gva, he has been close too many times.. So for the hilly remaining stages, is gilbert in any shape to drop dumolin, is gva? Have a feeling dumoulin will just guard his lead from now on.

So today is basically LBL if raced properly?

Hope it's not raced as in 2014 then.

Break: Vanbilsen, Cimolai, Haas, Van Melsen, Dowsett, Nuyens, Moser and Boonen. Gap is 3'15".

Can't remember last time Moser did something in a race.

Boonen probably just checking his own form out. All these guys in the break would have made a crazy strong break on yesterday's parcours, but less so on today's I think

I think he knows how his form really is after yesterdays stage. Not good.
He's just working his @$$ off, which is highly needed if he wants to contest the world title.
