lol I thought you were expecting boom to win so i thought at least a 2nd or a 3rd.
Didn't you see my post at the beginning? Boom was a question mark for me.... I do still think he is a favorite for overall.

Phinney not so much, he will probably finish in the bus again in the ardennes stages

Stop making wrong assumptions pls, unless you purposedly want to **** me off?

Great win by Phinney. That lad is going to be quite a rider in a couple of years.

Nice times by EBH, Millar, Gilbert.

Dude, Phinney finished in the bus in every kind-off hard stage in his career, even at the espoirs...

Phinney just swore in his interview. A small childish part of me is always entertained by that. He does come across as a pretty reasonable and articulate dude in interviews.

He sort of went a bit unnoticed, but that was a very good time by Rasmussen too.

Except for just a week ago, when he led out Van Avermaet to his win in the Tour de Wallonie

If Phinney stays within 1 minute of the best riders in the Ardennais stages, I will tell you I will be baffled.

Yes. He's never going to be a real climber, but if he could improve on the lumpy, hilly, courses he would be a really difficult guy to beat in this sort of stage race. As it is, the guys who can climb can afford not to worry about him too much.

Well that's a first.

Still I fully expect him to drop and lose minutes in the ardennais in this field

(and given my recent record, you'd best bet all your money on Phinney now)

with such good form, i think he can win the TT.

It's certainly possible, but I'm not sure if I'd fancy his chances too much on a somewhat longer course against the likes of Millar.

Since July there has certainly been more wins for BMC. before that the trouble was that they were lacking so many wins and the only wins they had were the overall in romandy and TA and a stage. Now they have the TDF GC and stage, austria stage and points, wallonia stage and GC and a stage in eneco.

Yea. Together with Kristoff, who looked at least as strong. That doesn't mean Kristoff is a particularly good climber...

Omega Pharma Lotto will make sure that guys like Phinney will be dropped.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing either, but he was very good there. So I'm not writing him off just yet (although there were no Gilberts or Boasson Hagens present there, obviously)

No. But Kristoff didn't get dropped on every speedbump before that race. And to be fair, Phinney looked stronger (to me), but that doesn't matter.
