Lombardia as well; he can win this though, there are 3 stages that fit him like a glove as well. He can do a good prologue and he won't lose to much time in the ITT. This Eneco tour is his for the taking

Nah, Boasson Hagen has a better ITT, and has a better chance of taking boni-seconds in the flat stages. There is only one stage were Gilbert has a good chance of taking time on Hagen, he really has to make that count. But if he's here to take World Tour points, he doesn't necessarily have to win.

MIllar is saying that it has been raining and the course is wet.
Seems like it's been raining on pretty much every ITT this year, quite annoying as luck/conditions will play a huge factor! Hopefully it rains all the time so they get equal conditions.

Anyhow, my prediction for the prologue is:

1. Lars Boom
2. Bert Grabsch
3. EBH

Not really a Grabsch course, I think. Too many corners.

it's a very tight and twisty course, I'd be very surprised to see Grabsch near the front. Boom should be the favorite (if he's in form), guys like Sergent, Phinney or Rasmussen are supposed to do good.

It's raining all summer already in Belgium.

With the rain and wind it's impossible to predict who will win. I live near Rotterdam and sun has been shining for over 2 hours by now. There is a lot of wind though. While in other parts of the country it's pouring rain.
Since it's a western wind it could very well be dry in Amersfoort in a short while.

Yeh great summer for the lowlands indeed :/
April and May were never as dry as this year and July was never as wet as this year. Atleast we had a nice spring ;)

"It will be very quick," Vierhouten said. "You hardly have to use your brakes in this prologue."
That quote made me think it was fairly straight forward but perhaps not. The more corners, the bigger will Lars Boom's winning margin be! However with the form he has had most of this season he will be dropped in the ardennes anyway.

I guess a technical course also favours Phinney, whom I remember to be taking quite some risks in the Romandie prologue.

there is a Video on youtube with a recon of todays course

I don't know if they really use the bike lane for the whole course (like in the video) but they do so for at least ~half of the course

one would hope they use the road. Those bollards will cause chaos.

The riders will use the buslane.

Just watched the entire vid. Course doesn't look to technical to me.

To the Eneco Tour? Really?

EBH FTW. Oh, and there's a stage with a hill in the final 3 k, so Gilbert will win that one.

Any excuse to flop in front of the Tv with a cuppa :)

Half of September I will be in Italy(Tuscany) so it's likely to be great weather in the Netherlands then. And when the weather is good in the Netherlands during the summer it's usually crap in Italy and Spain!

It stopped raining, but the wet course is having it's effect on the current times. They are all around 8 minutes.

So Wagners time was in dry conditions.
